Here's how we did it
The Town of Mayerthorpe – located about 90 minutes northwest of Edmonton – has been a client of TRINUS since 2015. They have 2 physical servers hosting 6 virtual servers, and approximately 21 users located throughout a variety of facilities. A big challenge was to fulfill the need for Public Access Wi-Fi in the town-owned facilities, including the Aquatic Centre, Curling Rink, and Exhibition Centre. Upon taking over the IT Management, TRINUS performed a complete Network and Systems’ Assessment, with recommendations to upgrade the existing infrastructure and workstations incrementally, over a period of 3 years, to fit the town’s budget. The upgrade was completed in early 2018. TRINUS also focused on the public Wi-Fi challenge, completing implementation of secure public Wi-Fi for the Curling Centre in 2017, and the Aquatic Centre and Exhibition Centre in 2018. TRINUS also expanded the town’s systems by including council laptops and offsite backup of all systems to the TRINUS Data Centre. TRINUS provides comprehensive fixed-cost IT Management Services, including periodic onsite Tech Maintenance visits, proactive Remote Management of all network resources, Cyber Security Services, and user Call-in Support to the HelpDesk.
