project kare logoThe Intelligence Support Services division of Trinus Technologies is providing technological support to Project KARE. The investigation into the serial deaths of many prostitutes in Alberta and the region is a daunting task. The latest news release outlining only a portion of the investigation resulting in a suspect being charged with two of the murders is a testament to the efforts of this Task Force. The amount of information being collected, evaluated, and analysed is overwhelming. The RCMP lead joint task force employs advanced technologies in order to manage the voluminous amounts of information and intelligence. Providing our support to this project is an honour.

What the public and the majority of officials are unaware, is the complexity of the investigation and the burden placed on the information managers during legal disclosure. Hundreds of thousands of entities and documents are recorded and stored during a sophisticated major case management operation. Being able to retrieve pertinent and relevant data seamlessly, and having access to this evidence at your "fingertips", is always a challenge. Employing advanced data warehouse techniques and search engines, in combination with analytical and automated data mining and entity extraction tools ensures success.
