The ISS division personnel are not naive to the challenges of designing and implementing customized training for adult learning. We have rolled out a full training package for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and for the Criminal Intelligence Service of Alberta.

This was not a small undertaking as the most time consuming portion of the preparation and planning is the creation of a training manual and documentation. For a program called Evidence & Reports 3.3, it took three months to develop and publish a 300-page user instruction manual, a detailed Instructor guide, a real-life training scenario (with video and props), 5 sample data sets, and a group participation exam.  Over the following 18 months, we proceeded to instruct over 225 investigators from 6 police agencies throughout Alberta in the 5-day course.

Looking back at this initiative, the actual training delivery (after some practice) was easier than the development of the materials and manual that accompanied the adult learning. Nevertheless, we are committed to providing a professional educational experience. Therefore, we plan to do what it takes to ensure students learning your system or process go away with an advanced understanding of the concepts and mechanics.
