i2's iBridge software allows Analyst's Notebook to communicate directly with a wide variety of databases to automate many charting functions. However, iBridge requires a configuration file to successfully connect Analyst's Notebook to your database. Trinus Technologies is a Certified i2 Developer partner. Thus, we are able to quickly and efficiently create sophisticated configuration files that allow you to chart the data you need.

What is an iBridge Plug-in?

iBridgeiBridge supports native connections to Microsoft's Access, SQL Server, and Oracle databases. Often times, data is stored in other formats or hosted by other types of data engines. Thus, iBridge cannot communicate directly with these data sources.

An iBridge Plug-in is a small software program that works in conjunction with iBridge and allows iBridge to connect to different types of data sources. When a user opens iBridge from Analyst's Notebook, the Plug-in intercepts the request and allows the user the option to connect to a different type of database. Upon receiving the database name, and optionally the logon information from the user, the Plug-in validates the logon and configures the database connection to communicate with iBridge.

Plug-ins are specific to the type of data format and engine being connected to; there is no one universal Plug-in for all data sources. Thus, Plug-ins are custom programmed for the target data source type.
